Hi, Kris,

We're all wondering how you were living in a dorm in one blog, then living in a house in the next. Looking forward to more entries.

We still miss you, but are thoroughly enjoying your entries.

Hello, Kris! Welcome to the Corley Library, where I used to work. I am surprised to read that you were given an English translation of the OPAC manual, as I had to write one (in English), as it came with a unserviceable one.
Also, I would suggest you read the 22-page final report I submitted after I left the position in February 2007.

Hi, Kris,

Thanks, as always, for the updates. Your beach description (another day's blog) made me feel as though I were right there with you. Although it is warming up here, with the sun getting stronger each day, the mornings are still quite cold. So the vision I have of that beautiful beach, and the dip you took in the warm waters, reminds me that it will be warm here again soon. Thanks for that vision.
Husky world is all abuzz. Maya Moore had her first game this season without a double in scoring. (She had "only" 7 points in last night's seminfinal game against Pittsburgh in the Big East Tournament). The other players are so good, though, that they won by a wide margin. Tonight is the final game, against Louisville (with Angel McCoughtry), so it may be a tough game. The men's tournament begins Thursday, Mar. 13. I certainly hope you are able to gain Internet access in your dorm in time for March Madness, as you mentioned earlier. Take care; we are all thinking of you. Go Huskies!

Hi Kris,
We missed you at the Bowlathon Sat. We had two teams and bowlwd badly as usual! However, it was fun and I got you your gift...this year it is two quite nice glass mugs etched with the ECSU logo and having a map of the Western Hemisphere in the bottom. I am enjoying the blog. I was going to leave early for work today but got caught up with the blog and will now be arriving at my usual time. Stay well and keep blogging.

Hi Kris,
What an odyssey! I am just catching up on the blog. I think I am still recovering from the stress of your near disaster with the thieves in the church. God truly was watching out for you! I can't believe you got your stuff back. Kris, this is such an amazing adventure. I admire your spirit in going for your dream. Hang in there. There will be good days and bad days. But you are seeing things the rest of of us have only imagined. Keep up the blog. I think it is grist for some kind of publication when you get back. Stay well.
Regards,
Pat B.

By now, you are probably a pro at running the library solo. I can't wait to hear about how many people use the library, what they are looking for, and so on. How big is it, anyway? Lots of stuff? Small? I note that, having a dehumidifier, water must be a big issue. Any curled books from excess humidity?

You're probably settling in really well and, in no time at all, you'll have mastered it all and not want to come back to chilly Connecticut. I wouldn't blame you. On the other hand, $21 meals every evening? (Or are you eating at the cafeteria regularly now?).

Best of luck, now that you're really settled in. Any pictures?

Fondly,

Ellen E.
